# Mining

> Complete guide to ORB Supply mining mechanics

Mining is the core mechanic of ORB Supply. It's a competitive game where participants deploy BNB on a grid of mystical orbs, competing for rewards based on verifiable randomness.

## The Concept

Think of mining as a **strategic betting game** combined with **provable fairness**:

* You deploy BNB on orbs you think might win
* One orb is randomly selected using Chainlink VRF
* Winners split all BNB from losing orbs
* The process repeats every 60 seconds

  Unlike traditional mining, ORB Supply mining is fast-paced, transparent, and requires no specialized hardware.

## The Orb Grid

The mining grid consists of **25 orbs** arranged in a 5×5 pattern, numbered from #1 to #25.

Each orb is:

* **Numbered** from #1 to #25
* **Independent** - deploying on one doesn't affect others
* **Equal** - all orbs have the same chance of winning (4%)

## Round Structure

Each round:

1. Deployment phase (60 seconds): Miners deploy BNB on orbs
2. Lock: Deployments locked, Chainlink VRF called
3. Selection: Winning orb determined (\~5-10 seconds)
4. Distribution: Rewards distributed immediately

## Reward Types

When your orb wins, you receive multiple types of rewards:

**BNB Rewards**: All BNB from the 24 losing orbs is split proportionally among winners on the winning orb.

Formula: `(Your Deployment / Total on Winning Orb) × Total BNB from Losers`

**ORB Bonuses**: Up to 2500 ORB per round can be distributed. 50/50 chance of either +2500 ORB to one winner or split among all winners (up to 2500 ORB total per round).

## Randomness & Fairness

ORB Supply uses **Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function)** to ensure provable fairness:

* **On-chain randomness**: Cannot be manipulated
* **Verifiable**: Anyone can verify the randomness
* **Transparent**: All selections are public
* **Decentralized**: No single point of control

## Deployment Strategies

While randomness makes outcomes unpredictable, you can still employ strategies:

**Single Orb**: Deploy all BNB on one orb. Maximum reward if you win, but 4% chance, all-or-nothing.

**Diversified**: Spread BNB across multiple orbs. Higher chance of winning, but smaller rewards per orb.

**Weighted**: Deploy more on some orbs, less on others. Balanced risk/reward, but requires more planning.

## How to Mine

### Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

* ✅ A BNB Chain wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, WalletConnect, etc.)
* ✅ BNB for deployments (minimum 0.0001 BNB)
* ✅ BNB for gas fees (\~0.001-0.002 BNB per transaction)
* ✅ Wallet connected to BNB Chain (BSC) network

  Make sure you're on BNB Chain, not Ethereum mainnet. The network should show "BNB Smart Chain" or "BSC" in your wallet.

### Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

1. **Open the ORB Supply dApp**
   * Visit the official ORB Supply interface

2. **Click "Connect Wallet"**
   * Located in the top right corner
   * Select your wallet provider

3. **Approve Connection**
   * Confirm the connection in your wallet
   * The dApp will now show your wallet address

  The dApp only requests read access. You maintain full control of your funds.

### Step 2: Understand the Interface

Once connected, you'll see the mining interface:

**Left Panel: Orb Grid**

* ⚫ **5×5 Grid:** 25 circular orbs numbered #1-#25
* **BNB Amounts:** Shows total BNB deployed per orb
* 👆 **Click to Select:** Click an orb to select it for deployment
* **Visual Feedback:** Selected orbs are highlighted

**Right Panel: Controls**

* **Orbload Pool:** Current jackpot amount
* **Time Remaining:** Countdown timer
* **Total Deployed:** All BNB across grid
* **Your Deployment:** Your BNB in this round

### Step 3: Choose Deployment Mode

You have two deployment modes:

**Manual Mode**: You control which orbs to deploy on. Best for learning the protocol and strategic gameplay.

**Auto Mode**: The dApp automatically deploys for you. Best for passive participation and consistent strategy.

  Start with Manual mode to understand the mechanics, then switch to Auto if you prefer passive participation.

### Step 4: Select Your Orbs

In Manual mode:

1. **Click on orbs** in the 5×5 grid
   * Selected orbs will be highlighted
   * You can select multiple orbs
   * Click again to deselect

2. **View your selection**
   * The interface shows "Blocks xN" where N is the number of selected orbs
   * Each orb can receive a portion of your deployment

  You can deploy on 1 orb or all 25 orbs. The choice is yours!

### Step 5: Set Deployment Amount

1. **Enter BNB Amount**
   * Type the amount directly in the input field
   * Or use quick buttons: **+1**, **+0.1**, **+0.01**
   * Or click to deploy your entire balance

2. **Check Minimum**
   * Minimum deployment: **0.0001 BNB**
   * Keep some BNB for gas fees!

3. **Review Summary**
   * **Blocks xN**: Number of selected orbs
   * **Total X BNB**: Total amount to deploy
   * This amount will be split across selected orbs

### Step 6: Deploy

1. **Review your deployment**
   * Selected orbs
   * Total BNB amount
   * Estimated gas cost

2. **Click "Deploy"**
   * A transaction will be created
   * Review it in your wallet

3. **Confirm Transaction**
   * Check the details in your wallet
   * Approve the transaction
   * Wait for confirmation (\~3-5 seconds on BNB Chain)

  Once deployed, you cannot cancel. Your BNB is locked until the round ends.

### Step 7: Wait for Round End

After deployment:

* **Time Remaining** shows the countdown
* **Your Deployment** confirms your BNB is deployed
* **Total Deployed** updates as others deploy

You can:

* ✅ Deploy more BNB (adds to existing deployment)
* ✅ View other miners' deployments
* ❌ Cannot withdraw until round ends

### Step 8: Check Results

When the round ends (\~5-10 seconds after countdown):

1. **Winning Orb Highlighted**
   * The winning orb will be visually highlighted
   * Check if it's one of your selected orbs

2. **View Rewards**
   * Check the **Rewards** section on the right
   * You'll see:
     * **BNB Rewards**: From losing orbs (if you won)
     * **Unrefined ORB**: If you won the +2500 ORB bonus
     * **Refined ORB**: From holding unclaimed ORB

3. **Orbload Check**
   * If the Orbload was hit (1/625 chance), you'll see a special notification
   * Your share will be in your rewards

### Step 9: Claim Rewards

When you have rewards:

1. **Review Your Rewards**
   * BNB rewards (can claim separately)
   * Unrefined ORB
   * Refined ORB

2. **Choose Claim Option**
   * **"Claim"**: Claim all rewards (BNB + ORB)
   * **"Claim only SOL"**: Claim only BNB (keep ORB unclaimed for refining)

3. **Confirm Transaction**
   * Approve the claim transaction
   * Rewards are sent to your wallet

  Consider holding unclaimed ORB to accumulate more refined ORB from the 10% refining fee redistribution.

## Reward Distribution

When the winning orb is determined:

1. 1% of all BNB deployments collected as contribution fee (goes to treasury)
2. All BNB from losing orbs is collected
3. BNB distributed proportionally to winners: `(Your Deployment / Total on Winning Orb) × Total BNB from Losers`
4. ORB bonuses distributed (50/50 chance: +2500 ORB to one winner or split among all, up to 2500 ORB per round)
5. Orbload check (1/625 chance)
6. Protocol fees: 10% BNB → revenue, 10% ORB → refining pool

## Winning Mechanics

### Probability Distribution

Each orb has equal probability: 4.00% chance (1 in 25). All 25 orbs have the same chance of winning.
