The Concept
Think of the Orbload as a progressive jackpot:- Accumulates every round (500 ORB per round)
- Rare trigger (1 in 625 chance = 0.16%)
- Massive rewards when hit
- Proportional distribution among winners
How It Accumulates
Every round, 500 ORB is added to the pool. The pool grows continuously and never decreases until it’s hit. On average, the pool accumulates to around 312,500 ORB before being distributed (625 rounds × 500 ORB).The Trigger Mechanism
The Orbload check occurs after the winning orb is selected, using the same VRF randomness. There’s a 1 in 625 chance (0.16%) it triggers. You must be on the winning orb to have any chance of receiving Orbload rewards. Combined probability (win + Orbload): (1/25) × (1/625) = 1/15,625 = 0.0064%The 1/625 probability is independent of the winning orb selection. Even if you’re on the
winning orb, you still only have a 0.16% chance of triggering the Orbload in that round.
Distribution
When the Orbload is hit, it’s distributed proportionally among all miners on the winning orb:(Your Deployment / Total on Winning Orb) × Orbload Pool
Odds and Probabilities
The Orbload has a 1 in 625 chance (0.16%) of being triggered each round. To receive Orbload rewards, you need both your orb to win (4% chance) and the Orbload to trigger (0.16% chance), giving you approximately a 1 in 15,625 chance per round. Deploying on more orbs increases your chance, but also splits your deployment.Key Numbers
